|One last Presidente for the compañeros|
My first bad feeling came when I drove to the airport in Santo Domingo. Uwe, my short-time neighbor from Juan Dolio, was riding shotgun in the car. Shortly after starting, we got into a routine control. The problem was, I never checked if the car's papers actually were in the car. The police officer let us search for a little while, and after that, started to write a fine. I think I also understood that the car or myself should actually be stopped and not moved again until someone provided the adequate papers. But then, luckily, my previous neighbour Uwe, found the paper. Pfiuuu!

The super nice lady from the JetBlue desk then started rebooking us on our next possible flight. This was to be the following day at 11:20 in the morning. I would have a connection 1:50 after arrival in Dubai. She also booked us into the Holiday Inn and gave us a food voucher for USD 12. After getting a sandwich and a bottle of water, we went to the parking and shuttle station where our hotel shuttle let us wait for about 20 more minutes. It was already around 2 am. It finally came and after a 15 minutes drive, we quickly checked into our hotel.
