A wedding (or two) in India

What I kept repeating to local people, is that I was quite astonished that India was not at all like I expected it to be. And people told me that they knew the world had a bad image of India. After seeing movies like Slumdog Millionaire and hearing a lot about the overwhelming poverty in India, I arrived there positively surprised.

Chaos in Laos

Si vous pouvez ne pas passer par la même route que nous, faites-le. Car il y a un certain nombre de choses peu plaisantes. Premièrement, après avoir traversé le bout de Mekong en bateau, nous avons été induit, ou presque, à donner de l'argent à la personne qui accompagnait le trajet. Il s'agit d'un trajet uniquement pour touristes. Ce n'est apparemment pas une route et une douane que les locaux utilisent beaucoup.

Phong Nha (Son Trach)


When we told people we were going to take a bus at the northern bus station in Huế to take a direct bus to Phong Nha (Son Trach), nobody believed us. They told us there was no bus, and that we have to go to Đồng Hới first.

To the highlands of Đà Lạt


At 12.30 lunch time in Mui Ne the bus arrived and picked us up. After driving around and picking up other people, we drove off direction Đà Lạt. The guy organizing the pickups tried to fill the bus from the back. The seats were so small, I had trouble with my long legs. Yes Phương, I know, I'm too long. But we were lucky, we got two seats each!
